The presentation of the innovation project results surprised all the attendees through the excellent intervention of two final year students of the Automation and Robotics Cycle of the CIFP Simón de Colonia, who explained the progress they had achieved in their training, through a live demonstration on robotic elements created within the framework of the project.

Manuel Luque, Project Manager at CIFP Simón de Colonia, expressed his satisfaction with this type of initiative, which is also carried out in coordination with other VET centers (specifically, Salesianos Urnieta, (from Basque Country); CIFP A Farixa (from Galicia Region); IES Galileo, from Valladolid) and other technology providers (like SMC).

Angélica Medina, IT manager of Adisseo Spain, intervened in substitution of Gerardo Juez, Adisseo’s plant manager and vice-president of DIHBU, showing the role of DIHBU in this project, its trajectory, and the main opportunities provided by its participation as a member of the DIGIS3 European Digital Innovation Hub.

The event was closed by the Deputy Mayor of Burgos and President of Promueve Burgos, Mr. Vicente Marañón, who gave an interesting perspective on the need to attract and retain talent 4.0 in the city, and the commitment of the government team to link young talent and local industry. He considered the project presented as an example of of active and useful initiative, congratulating both the students and the teachers of the automation and robotics cycle involved in the project.
