Challenge

Burgos City Council needed support for the organization of a technology showcase event in the field of Industry 4.0 in parallel to a high level technical conference. The aim was to showcase real technological solutions in a demonstration space, so that SMEs could test and know the i40 key technologies.

To achieve this, it was necessary to open the available free demonstration spaces to national entities and companies, and to make a selection of the best ones to be shown.

DIH Services

The DIHBU, member of DIGIS3, was the entity chosen by Burgos City Council to organise this event, through a collaboration agreement, with economic content.

The DIHBU organised the event with its own technical team and external collaborators: Industry 4.0 Technology Exhibition, within the framework of the #Burgosi40 Technological Meeting, in the Forum Evolución Burgos. Floor 3. Expo Zone. 16th November 2021.

Parallel activities:

  • Meeting of Industry 4.0 Startups
  • National Meeting of Industry 4.0 Digital Innovation Hubs
  • Industrial Track 4.0 Technical Congress (Second Edition)

Adressed improvements

39 technology demonstrators, out of a total of 47 candidatures, were approved to participate in the Expo. In addition, a DIGIS3 information point was included. Exhibitors indicated their satisfaction with the results obtained in terms of synergies, visibility of the solutions shown, and business opportunities. In addition, the information points at the meeting (DIGIS3, Fundación Caja de Burgos, and AceleraPyme FAE-Burgos), provided added value in terms of resources available to carry out projects to incorporate solutions such as those shown at the Expo.

Social media disseminated the Meeting / Expo under the hashtag #Burgosi40, through Twitter and LinkedIn, and several media attended the event.
