On 20 November 2025, the University of Limerick (UL) hosted the final conference organized by EAGLE under the title «Bridging the Digital Skills Gap: Empowering SMEs for the Future». This event, funded by the Digital Europe Programme, was webcast across Europe and involved EAGLE consortium partners, industry companies, academic institutions and policy makers. DIHBU attended the Conference in person.

The day began with a Business Networking Breakfast & Workshop organised by Skillnet Ireland, where participants analysed the most relevant digital skills for SMEs and shared first impressions on the project’s progress.
The main conference followed, which included an institutional welcome and a keynote address by Tim Crowe (WorxFlo) on the practical application of artificial intelligence and supply chain digitalization in SMEs.
One of the key moments was the «Collaborating for Digital Success» panel discussion, where experts from industry, academia and training networks discussed how collaboration among strategic actors can accelerate business digital transformation.
The final results of the EAGLE project were subsequently presented.

The main objective of the EAGLE project, in which it participates as a DIHBU partner, is to design and deliver high quality specialized training courses that reflect the latest developments in key capability areas (Cybersecurity, Big Data, Robotics, Blockchain and Smart Energy), supporting the development of people’s advanced digital skills in the workforce, with a focus on SMEs, for both managers and employees.
