Rocío Viruega, Head of Innovation at our partner ALPHA SYLTEC, was responsible for presenting in the past Burgos Industry 4.0 2025 Technological Meeting, AI-Mode, a pilot aimed at demonstrating the feasibility of the prototype Generative AI-based Virtual Assistant in industrial operations, led by SYLTEC, which is being funded by the EU through the European WASABI project. Its validation is being carried out at PROHIMA, located in Barcelona.

AI Mode responds to a clear market demand: effective virtual assistants based on Generative Artificial Intelligence, for assistance to the operator in industrial operations, mainly in initial training processes, and maintenance operations.
The pilot is being tested at Prohima International, a special packaging manufacturer with around 60 employees and advanced digitisation needs that can be covered initially by this type of IAGen-based solutions. The testing company has contributed its corpus of information on processes and machines, as well as historical data.
This pilot was presented at the Industrial Track 4.0 Technical Conference, generating a great deal of interest from industrial companies. In addition, this project is the result of a successful funding support service run from DIHBU to ALPHA SYLTEC, with the support of DIGIS3.
Generative Artificial Intelligence is currently an opportunity for industrial companies, still little exploited. At DIHBU we have long detected an intense demand for low-cost AI-based solutions that can replace or complement some management systems in the short term, making information more accessible. This requires demonstration pilots in real scenarios, so that feasibility and potential applications can be assessed. With this goal, DIHBU is focusing on the projects in which it collaborates, together with its partners and customers.
