After an eligibility screening, the DIHBU technical team is currently immersed in the final selection process of the best applications received for a free technological demonstration space at the Expo Industry 4.0 2023, which will take place at Fórum Evolución within the framework of the Technological Meeting Burgos Industry 4.0 2023, on October 24 and 25.
Almost a third of the applications received came from Castilla y León, followed by Madrid, Catalonia, the Basque Country and Navarre.
There are also candidate companies from Galicia, Asturias, Andalusia, Cantabria, Valencia and the Canary Islands.
The vast majority of applications come from technology SMEs, including a good number of startups focused on Industry 4.0 developments. There is also representation from technology and knowledge centers.
Main Industry 4.0 Demonstrator Technologies
By technologies, advanced robotics and industrial sensors, as well as Artificial Intelligence applications in its multiple facets: intelligent devices, management/control/monitoring systems, and digital twins stand out. Systems for 3D visualization of virtual elements also occupy a large space among the candidates for demonstrators.
As a novelty, this year the Expo will integrate 5G technology demonstrators focused on industry, for which it has also received excellent nominations.
A maximum of 38-40 stands (depending on the space required by the candidate demonstrators) will be allocated through this procedure.
