The International Telecommunication Union – ITU, the United Nations’ agency for information and communication technologies, approved the membership of the European DIGITAL SME Alliance as new sector member.

By contributing to the ITU standards setting function, DIGITAL SME aims to promote SMEs´ participation and representation in global ICT standards.

DIGITAL SME is committed to open and inclusive global ICT standards. European digital SMEs offer knowledge and technology alternatives to set standards that better serve the needs of society

As sector member, DIGITAL SME can enable several of its own members to participate freely in ITU’s work under its umbrella.
It is through leveraging the expertise of its 45.000 strong membership base that DIGITAL SME will be able to best contribute to ITU’s successful work – keeping technology open, human-centric and based on the needs of most business players.
