EDIH Madrid Region and its business ecosystem
EDIH Madrid Region is a public-private consortium recognized by the European Commission that acts as a reference point to boost the digitization of SMEs and administrations in the region. The objective of EDIH Madrid Region is to assist in the digitisation process both in the public sector and in SMEs in the Community of Madrid so that they can understand and experiment with software technologies, hardware and business models to identify and implement new business opportunities;
EDIH Madrid Region offers technology testing, training sessions, funding support services and networking spaces.
EDIH Madrid presents some technology companies of its ecosystem: Intelectia Telecom and Cloud Studio IoT.
Intelectia Telecom. Secure communications and operations under private 5G networks
Smart Data Networks are based on the creation of Private 5G Networks interconnected with Private Mobile Transport Networks, allowing for secure and high-performance communications even in outdoor environments such as the use of drones. These private transport networks consist of linking a SIM connected to the public mobile network directly with the company’s management systems, preventing traffic from passing through the Internet. The solution is designed on the Network and Transport layers, guaranteeing security and efficiency in communications.
In Extremadura, a pilot has been implemented for the Pitarch Group, using an intelligent mobile network that allows a drone to store in the company’s private cloud the monitoring videos of its electrical installations. In addition, certain mobile users -both in Spain and international roaming- can access these contents completely privately, reinforcing the security and operability of the system.
Cloud Studio: 360° industrial digitalization: IoT for operational efficiency
This technology has been implemented by Cloud Studio IOT at AB Mauri, a leader in the food ingredients industry. The solution integrates LoRaWAN sensors, existing PLCs and GPS trackers to digitize plant processes, monitor critical conditions such as temperature and humidity, and track distribution logistics. The entire operation is monitored from a single non-code IoT platform, with real-time visualization, automatic alerts and remote device control.
The project has included the integration of sensors and PLCs into production lines, the use of trackers and temperature sensors in the logistics fleet, and the creation of operational dashboards that allow advanced control and predictive maintenance. Tools for tracking and responding to logistical incidents have also been incorporated, ensuring a more efficient, secure and transparent management of the entire value chain.
