I4U Project – Industry 4.0 Upskilling for SMEs

Universidad Isabel I de Castilla (UI1)

Burgos, Spain

Stand P3

3rd Floor Forum Evolution Burgos. October 15 and 16, 2025

Detail

The information point presents the I4U project, a European initiative that offers a platform of free online courses to improve technical and professional skills. Participants can train flexibly in different modules and obtain certificates recognized throughout the EU. To date, 20 modules have been developed in English and Spanish in three main areas: technical skills, analytical skills, and soft & life skills.

The main services of the project are:

  • Accessible, widespread, and flexible technical and professional training.
  • Modular learning, adapted to the user’s pace.
  • Official European certification, valid throughout the EU.

In addition, the Upskill Network collaborative platform will be presented, a space where different agents in the Industry 4.0 ecosystem can share information, generate synergies, and respond to the training needs of the sector. The key innovative aspect lies in the creation of knowledge ecosystems that connect training providers and companies around common geographical, industrial (robotics, automotive, etc.), or technological areas.

The information point will display the results of the project, which cover a wide range of digital technologies linked to Industry 4.0: programming, robotics, security, automation, augmented reality, IoT, cloud, artificial intelligence, among others.

UI1, Isabel I University, is a private Spanish university offering blended and distance learning with a wide range of academic programs, including bachelor’s degrees, official master’s degrees, proprietary degrees, and doctorates, all adapted to the European Higher Education Area.
