Three-dimensional digital models of industrial processes from 2D plans, applying VR / AR and AI

Técnicas de Ingeniería y Control Castellana S.L. (TEICON)

Palencia, Spain

Stand 19

3rd Floor Forum Evolution Burgos. October 15 and 16, 2025

Description

This demonstrator offers a comprehensive solution for asset digitization and the creation of digital twins in industrial environments, relying on the most advanced Industry 4.0 technologies, such as 3D laser scanning, drones, artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR). The platform allows traditional plants to be transformed into three-dimensional virtual environments, generating digital models that evolve into real-time operational digital twins.

TEICON is a company specializing in the AECO sector (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations), with a strong focus on innovation and digital transformation 4.0 in the sector.

Innovative aspects

  • TOKII integrated platform – Consolidates historical and real-time data (KPIs, IoT sensors, PLC, SCADA, MES, ERP) in a single visual environment accessible from PCs, mobile devices, touchscreens, or VR/AR headsets.
  • Advanced industrial environment capture – Use of 3D laser scanners, drones, point clouds, and AI techniques such as NeRFs and Gaussian Splatting to generate highly accurate 3D digital models.
  • Applied virtual and augmented reality – VR/AR integration to interact with the digital plant in an immersive and visually intuitive way.
  • Artificial intelligence and visual intelligence – Real-time monitoring and simulation of plant behavior, with predictive analytics and intelligent incident management.
  • Immediate access to critical information – Contextual visualization of technical documentation, operational data, and KPIs within the digital environment.
  • Industry 4.0 approach – Transformation of traditional industrial plants into smart, connected environments, optimizing operations and maintenance.

Pilot Deployments

Virtual Plant Model projects have been carried out and have evolved into Digital Twins, in collaboration with companies in the agri-food and consumer goods sectors.
