Description
This demonstrator includes a highly portable 3D scanning system, designed for use in workshops or directly at customer sites. It also offers a complete scanned data processing service, which allows:
- Generate refined 3D and 2D documentation, useful for reverse engineering.
- Perform metrological control of scanned parts, ensuring measurement accuracy and reliability.
The package provides a flexible and practical solution for geometry capture, analysis, and quality control in industrial environments.
IIR3D is an Asturian company specializing in portable 3D scanning, metrology, and reverse engineering, creating digital twins and accurate verifications. It offers flexible on-site solutions with equipment calibrated according to ISO 17025 standards.

Extreme portability and processing efficiency thanks to the use of specific advanced software.
Pilot Deployments
Two main pilot implementations:
- Sector: Automotive. Client: SOGIMA C.B.
- Scope of work: Scanning of stamped elements. The final part is scanned, and above all, the parts manufactured in the intermediate operations are scanned to review and adjust the shape of the dies for each of the operations. A complete metrological control of the final part is carried out.
Sector: Capital goods manufacturing. Client: EMICA BOMBAS S.L.
Several models of different pumps are scanned to design the guards for the moving parts in the context of the scans performed. This allows immediate transition to serial production, without the need for prototypes, etc. The entire design is validated by all parties before production begins.
