Open call 2 Master: Mixed Reality for training in robotics
This open call supports pilot projects aimed at creating new applications to improve training in robotics through XR (mixed reality) technology, validating the technologies already developed in the Master project. The project will fund pilot projects to address identified challenges in different areas.
Area 1: Industrial Applications
For this area, the following challenges are defined:
- Creation of applications for machine handling
- Creation of a line after robotic applications
- Robot-assisted quality inspection
- XR for collaborative robot programming
Area 2: Getting to know robots
In this area, the challenges are:
- Understanding robot reference systems
- Develop teaching materials
- Simulation of robotic maintenance procedures
- Safety in human-robot collaboration
Area 3: Open Challenge – Innovative applications in industrial robotics training
For this area, the challenges are:
- Introduction of AI in industrial robotics training
- XR for remote and inclusive robotic education
- Multimodal interaction for XR-based robotics training
- Gamification of robotic training in RE
Funding offered
Up to EUR 100,000 per pilot.
Who can participate?
- Universities, research or educational institutions
- SMEs
- Large enterprises (without financing)
At least one entity should be a non-profit educational institution, which can provide educational or content creation services and which can ensure the participation of students from these services in the validation.
If the educational institution wishes to include an SME it is also possible. Both organizations will receive funding, but the educational institute must coordinate.
Large for-profit industries may also be included in the consortium as challenge providers, but they will not be able to receive funding or perform coordination functions.
