LILAS4SOILS – Open Call for MRV Providers to test Innovative SOC Monitoring Solutions
The LILAS4SOILS project is seeking innovative Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) solutions and technologies to test under its framework between 2026 and 2028. This initiative, coordinated by EIT Food, aims to foster carbon farming practices through Living Labs across the Mediterranean and Southern EU, contributing to the healthy future of European soils.
Type of projects to be funded

Sectors / domain
The sector targeted is agricultural innovation, specifically focusing on carbon farming practices.
Individual or consortium
The call is open to individual technological SMEs, start-ups, spin-offs, or research teams with promising technologies that require testing and validation in real conditions.
Specific eligibility requirements
Eligible applicants must be legal entities registered in countries eligible for Horizon Europe funding. Applications must be complete and submitted in English.
Specific topics or challenges
The call seeks projects that address challenges in SOC monitoring using innovative technologies, including remote sensing, digital solutions, and modelling platforms.
Projects duration
The projects are expected to run for a duration of two years, covering two cropping seasons within the period of 2026 to 2028.
