SOILCRATES Open Call
The SOILCRATES project, funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe”, has launched its Financial Support to Third Parties Open Call 2025, to support individual pilot projects that test, demonstrate, or co-create innovative practices improving soil health and sustainable land management.
Selected projects should contribute to one or more of the following goals:
- Testing or improving sustainable soil management practices.
- Reducing erosion, contamination, and soil degradation.
- Increasing soil organic matter and biodiversity.
- Improving water retention and climate resilience.
- Promoting knowledge exchange and local cooperation between science and practice.
Who can apply?
Farm owners, Farmers associations, SMEs, Research and Technology Organizations (RTOs), and
Educational organisations.
Cascade funding
The total budget is 1.600.000€ to be equally split between the four Living Labs. Thus, each Living-Lab is granted 400.000€ to finance at least 10 projects per LivingLab.
Amounts awarded to a single project will be between €20,000 to €60,000.
