DIANA Challenge Call 2026 (OTAN)
The DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) initiative launches its 2026 Public Call for innovators who can respond to the challenges of defense, security and resilience posed by NATO

Select high-impact dual-use (civil-defense) technologies to accelerate their transition through prototyping, real-world testing and access to the DIANA network, including accelerators, test centers, investor and end-user support

- Difficult electromagnetic environments
- Human resilience and biotechnology
- Critical infrastructure and logistics
- Operations in extreme environments
- Maritime operations
- Robust space operations
- Autonomy and unmanned systems
- Data-driven decision making
Who can participate?
- Innovative companies (start-ups or SMEs) legally established in NATO member countries.
- Technology with TRL 4 or higher (solutions in laboratory or advanced prototype); also considered disruptive proposals with less maturity.
- No universities or non-profit entities are admitted.
Financing and stages
Phase 1: up to €100,000 for initial iteration of the prototype.
Phase 2: The best selected advance and may receive up to an additional €300,000 for demonstrations, field tests, and preparation for adoption.
