Conference EAGLE project: Digital skills challenges in SMEs

The city of Burgos will host the EAGLE Conference, a European event focused on «Challenges in digital skills in SMEs», integrated into the EAGLE project, in which DIHBU participates.
For those seeking to understand and adapt to the rapid digital changes that transform the professional and business environment, this event is a must-see.
This conference aims to address the challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their digital transformation process, as well as the need to develop key digital skills.
The conference will include the participation of leading figures such as the president of the Confederation of Business Associations of Burgos (FAE), the rector of the University of Burgos, the Director-General for Telecommunications and Digital Administration of the Junta de Castilla y León and the Mayor of Burgos.
The opening speech will be given by Luis Ignacio Vicente de Olmo, CIO of our partner ABB, and Strategic Advisor of Pons IP, who will reflect on «The challenges in digital transformation and digital skills faced by SMEs»
The conference will include two round tables which will address key issues in today’s digital landscape:
- Business Intelligence and Data Analysis: Experts from companies such as CSA – Centro de Servicios Avanzados, Aciturri Aeronáutica and ITCL Centro Tecnológico will explore how to promote the culture of data, ensure training in digital skills, To drive business innovation and optimise processes.
- New Digital Professions and STEM Challenges: The main challenges of studying and working in STEM areas will be discussed, including academic demand, technological complexity, constant updating and linking studies to labour market needs. Companies such as Nicolás Correa, Skretting and entities such as FP Burgos and the University of Burgos will participate.
At the end, Bruno Baruque Zanon, from the University of Burgos and coordinator of the EAGLE project, will present the conclusions of the meeting, synthesizing key learnings and visions for SMEs in the digital age.
