October 16, 2025. 12:55 p.m. Sala de Ensayos Room. Floor 3. Forum Evolución Burgos

Use case presented by CT Ingenieros
Getafe, Madrid Spain
Abstract
This presentation explores how operational cyber resilience and the use of unmanned platforms are redefining the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of logistics and navigation operations on inland waterways.
The river transport economy is booming, encompassing sectors such as shipbuilding, inland transport, tourism, and environmental protection. To ensure its sustainable and resilient growth, it is essential to integrate advanced technologies that optimize processes and reduce risks.
During the session, real use cases and key technologies applied in the sector will be discussed:
- 100% electric motors and hydrogen propulsion systems.
- Autonomous vessels: navigation, obstacle avoidance, and smart docking.
- V2X communication between vessels and infrastructure, including unmanned aerial, maritime, underwater, and land platforms.
- XR simulators (LVC) for human training in immersive environments.
- Digital twin for predictive vessel maintenance.
- Integration of technologies such as AI, IoT, Big Data, smart sensors, and 5G communications.
