Abstract

Keyland presents a specific use case that shows how a need to evolve the management of existing AMR missions at the 20 end-of-line stations, where parts are verified using an RFID arch, was resolved.
Antolin-RYA needed a new front-end design that would allow for easier, more versatile, and more flexible management of new product and packaging combinations in the workplace. In addition, among other difficulties, the forklift operator had two screens, one where requests were received (previously designed by Keyland) and another where they were launched (MiR), which made their work very difficult.

This redesign had to take into account all the combinations of each workstation to make it easier for the manufacturing operator to choose the type of mission needed at any given time and communicate it directly to the forklift operator so that they could prepare the packaging and dispatch the AMRs with the new orders. To facilitate the forklift operator’s work and thereby minimize the failure rate, the aim was also to make all the information necessary for their work available on a single interface. The solution also had to manage other applications linked to the AMRs, such as the RFID arch that manages the conformity of the parts inside the packages as they leave production, and traffic with Synersi brand AGVs.

The solution The solution provided by Keyland had to perform the following tasks:

  • Master data management for user, device, station, and container registrations, cancellations, queries, and modifications, as well as production configuration.
  • Work order management with which the different operators interact to ensure the flow of necessary containers, all through a user-friendly interface.
  • In addition, the solution had to maintain the existing functionalities described in the initial situation.

The solution proposed by Keyland is called K-ISS, Keyland Integration System Software, and includes: Device monitor, Work order monitor, Email alert management, Statistics, and Work order history.

The benefits K-ISS offers flexibility to customize the AMR mission screen and modify it easily according to the plant’s needs. Operators now work with a single interface with everything centralized, whereas before they had to operate with multiple screens and interfaces that were much less intuitive and accessible. The solution also improves order preparation times for forklift operators in the logistics area.

As the solution works very efficiently with MiR AMRs, the goal for 2026 is to also implement K-ISS with Synersight AGVs to work with a single mission manager in the plant.
