Hungry EciCities Open Call 2: Funding for artists participating in prototypes – AI for sustainable agri-food chains

Hungry EcoCities aims to accelerate responsible innovation in Europe’s agri-food value chains by integrating art-driven experimentation and prototyping.

This second Open Call will showcase how this approach can enhance AI-enabled responsible innovation for a sustainable food chain.

Hungry EcoCities proposes an alliance between science, technology and the arts, to explore how digital technologies and applications can lead to reduced food waste, more sustainable value chains, green attitudes and more ethical food consumption.

This project brings together the world’s most renowned art studios, with experts in AI and agriculture, and a network of over 40 European agribusinesses, to develop a healthier, more sustainable and affordable agri-food system for all.

Funding

Up to €37,500 per experiment, including:

  • €1,500 per each pre-selected
  • €36,000 per ultimately selected Artist that participates in a project for 8 months.

Who can apply?

Artists (Natural or juridic Persons): creative technologists, media artists, creative coders, artistic front & back-end designers & hackers, digital artists, etc.
