FUTURAL Open Call for co-creating Smart Solutions with rural communities
The purpose of the FUTURAL Open call is to provide more solutions for the rural areas, accelerate the expansion of the FUTURAL innovation ecosystem and ensure adequate motivation of the rural communities.
The Applicants will contribute to the enrichment of the FUTURAL meta-search platform, which is a key outcome of FUTURAL serving as a one-stop-shop that offers enhanced capabilities for searching and accessing digitised solutions and services for rural areas.
the Open Calls aims to:
- Address a wider range of societal and environmental challenges related to the FUTURAL domains.
- Harness the potential of using data from multiple sources and make users themselves part of the solution.
- Enable the transferability and accelerate the uptake and upscale of the digital smart solutions at a pan-European level towards sustainable and resilient rural areas.
- Enhance the FUTURAL meta-search platform by adding at least ten Smart Solutions cocreated within rural communities across Europe.
Elegibility criteria
SMEs and other interested parties including start-ups, research organisations, rural communities (e.g., municipalities, regional authorities, development agencies, NGOs etc.)
Funding
The Open Call will result in at least 10 projects (min €60k and max €120k per project / min €30k euro and max €60k per each partner).
Duration
12-month:
- Phase 1 – Design (Duration: 4 months / June 2025 – September 2025)
- Phase 2 – Development (Duration: 5 months / October 2025 – February 2026)
- Phase 3 – Validation (Duration 3 months / March 2026 – May 2026)
