CIRCULOOS Open Call for initial interest
The EU-funded CIRCULOOS project is aimed at optimising the supply chain for circular and dynamic manufacturing. The project is calling for expressions of interest, in order to generate consortia that can submit funding proposals to the open calls it will launch soon.
CIRCULOOS aims to establish a Circular Manufacturing (CM) ecosystem based on the RAMP network of more than 30 DIHs in Europe. Effective collaboration in a circular supply chain will be demonstrated with 3 pilot projects and at least 16 demonstrators (to be selected through open calls) for new sustainable products.
Who can take part?
- Manufacturing SMEs (up to €50,000 in aid)
- DIHs or eDIHs (up to €50,000 in support)
- Knowledge centres, and other non-profit research entities (up to 50,000 € grant)
Consortia should be composed of: 1 manufacturing SME, 1 or 2 additional entities (with profile of recyclers, upcyclers, repairers, waste collectors or circular economy skills), and 1 DIH (or EDIH).
Objective of the projects to be financed
Implement circular strategies and demonstrate new manufacturing and business models that improve circularity rates. The aim is to generate disruptive circular manufacturing processes for sustainable production that covers the entire life cycle of products, either by recovering the value of the product that ended up as waste or from recycled and remanufactured products.
The selected supply chains will be able to adopt and validate the tools offered by the CIRCULOOS project.
Development of the call for expressions of interest.
The project will compile a list of entities registered with a sample of interest, for the creation of consortia through the RAMP platform.
All expressions of interest will be published to facilitate collaboration, allowing the parties to form value chains and apply for funding in upcoming open calls.
Matchmaking days will be held to form consortia (January and February 2025).
Funding offered
A maximum of € 240,000 per consortium. Consortia will comprise 2-5 entities.
