Abstract

The ITCL technology center, with offices in Burgos and Madrid, has developed through an R+D+i project, a tool for generating synthetic images, which allows the rendering and labeling of large amounts of images and videos to train Deep Learning and Artificial Vision algorithms.

The center is looking for partners for future developments, and for testing or pilot applications.

Most of the time, there are very few suitable images/videos available to perform these training processes. This tool allows AI developers to train their neural networks with labeled images/videos created with Virtual Reality.

For example, for projects oriented to people detection, the tool can generate a huge variety of profiles (images of humans) thanks to the configurability of virtual reality avatars, avoiding biases and ethical issues in model training.

Moreover, since these images are created, the precise 3D positions (locations, relative positions,…) are known. The developed toolset can be customized to address a wide variety of computer vision jobs.

Partner type sought

  • AI developers who want to use the tool for testing or pilot deployments. ITCL can recreate the 3D scenarios and generate the datasheets with the labeled synthetic images.
  • Partners for further development and market entry.

Technical collaboration agreements for the integration of the tool with other AI and computer vision solutions and commercial collaboration agreements.
