Abstract
KAIZEN Institute Western Europe, a division of KAIZEN Institute Ltd, a multinational consulting company specialized in the fields of KAIZEN™, Lean Management and continuous improvement, offers a customized solution for the incorporation of combined digitalization technologies, which allow the optimization of human resources in production plants, focusing operators on higher value-added activities.
The company is looking for industrial SMEs in Castilla y León, and intermediate entities or groups of SMEs, for collaboration agreements.
The solution is based on the customized incorporation of the following digital tools:
- Digital SOPs: “projected” documentation, guides and checklists
- Augmented / Virtual Reality: remote worker support and training
- Digital process confirmation system (via mobile devices)
- Intelligent assistive devices (e.g. exoskeletons)
- Environmental and bioinformatics sensors, for real-time monitoring of environmental and health conditions
- Advanced data analytics
In recent years, declining automation costs led many companies to fall into the temptation of excessive automation, as labor costs have risen due to a shortage of skilled labor. In addition, the aging workforce and the demands of the younger generation are pushing employers in opposite directions.
To address these problems, instead of replacing workers, technologies must be deployed that allow operators to focus on the highest value-added activities, where the unique human competencies of decision-making and adaptability to new situations bring greater value and, at the same time, create a more attractive workplace, with less repetitive, but more interesting, diversified and productive work routines.
