dRural Open Call for Regional Demonstrators

Get from €5.000 up to €50.000 to provide your service in rural areas.

The objective of dRural is fostering business process innovation for service offers in rural areas.

The winning applicants will contribute to the general objectives of the project by testing the dRural marketplace and gaining pilot traction for more services. The time for implementation of simple services is 3 months and 6 months for the complex services.

dRual Service Marketplace aims to connect the ecosystem of potential end-users and service providers in rural areas, delivering a broad spectrum of services while boosting economic growth and improving citizens’ quality of life.

dRural open call will provide funding and support to provide your service in 4 European rural areas: Extremadura (Spain), Jämtland Härjedalen (Sweden), Dubrovnik-Neretva County (Croatia) and Region Gelderland Midden (The Netherlands).

Call for innovative services to be included in their dRural marketplace from six strategic arenas:

  • Health and Social Care
  • Tourism
  • Local Food Systems
  • Business Development
  • Transport and Mobility
  • e-Government

Two types of services are sought, with different levels of support provided:

Simple Services

Provided by small businesses and sole entrepreneurs, providing services in the local areas that have little to no technological infrastructure to extend the reach of their services to new customers.

5.000€ grant to set up and promote your service in the regional marketplace of your choice.

Complex Services

Existing data platform service providers (SMEs) that wish to become a part of the dRural ecosystem and want to develop and expose new innovative services through dRural. Sectoral platforms must be able to connect to the dRural solution via API or other technologies.

50,000€ grant to set up your service in the regional marketplace of your choice.
