Continuous assessment (20%): Monitoring of students’ work through evaluation questionnaires.
Final evaluation (80%): Programme a code to perform an automatic task with a robot.
Target audience:

Primary: SMEs technicians.
Other: students of technical careers, industry technicians, research institutes, etc.
Learning outcomes:
Upon the completion of the course, the participant will To know the differences between the industrial robots, and the main technical parameters.
To acquire the basics to select an industrial robotic arm to perform a task.
To perform basic manual movements with a robot by using the teach pendant.
To program an industrial robot to perform simple automatic tasks.
To know the basics on safety on robotics  
Course structure and syllabus:
hours below are shown in brackets as follows (presential/autonomous work)

Transversal concepts (1h / 0.5h): What is a robot? Types of robots. Robotic applications and success stories.  
Core content (3.5h / 3h): Parts in a robot. Technical parameters in robots. Selection of robots. Collaborative vs non-Collaborative robots. Basic movements. Programming of robots in RAPID. Safety basics.  
Expert content (1.5h / 1.5 h): Kinematic model. Singularities. Interfaces of the robot. Simulation of components in production. Safety regulations.  
CBL module (1.5 h / 3h): Students will be given an application, they will have to understand the movements to perform, design the trajectories, identify the signals and program the robot to complete the task.  
Guided reflection and feedback (0.5h / 0h): Depending on the results of the continuous assessment, feedback will be given on the basic concepts and feedback on the proposed exercises will also be given.
